About Traderific

Why Are We Doing This?

Traderific is bringing the power of quantitative analysis to all investors, whether they are experienced, or still a novice. We strive to present information in easy-to-understand terms, so that beginners can easily understand the information, and won’t feel intimidated by it.

Most importantly, we believe in the freedom of information, and restoring the balance of economic power that currently benefits only a small few. Because of that, the signals generated by Traderific are 100% free to use for all.

Our free daily stock tips are not only posted at Traderific.com, but also on Twitter, Facebook, StockTwits, and other social networks. We are also in the process of developing a mobile app to make it even easier for investors to get signals wherever they are.

At its heart, Traderific is an automated algorithmic trading strategy which triggers a BUY or a SHORT signal for a particular stock, based on its price at CLOSE. The algorithm is based on several technical indicators, some of which are issued by our own development and research. In addition to the entry signals, the algorithm generates exit signals (SELL or COVER) that are based on risk analysis.

This risk analysis is also used to limit how much time a trader is in the market for a given stock. In fact, the average stock is only in the market 36% of the time, reducing much of the risk of a standard “buy and hold” trading system. To further spread risk, Traderific.com employs a diverse portfolio of 200 large cap stocks traded on major US markets such as the NYSE, NASDAQ, and AMEX, while Traderific.ca uses the S&P/TSX 60 as the basis of its Canadian portfolio.

The Traderific method is based on the research and trading methodology of Prof. Edmond T. Miresco, PhD. of École de Technologie Supérieure in Montreal, where he is Director of Administration and head of the Financial Engineering program, which was developed in collaboration with CDPQ, one of the largest institutional fund managers in North America.
